Polperro is such a fantastic place to paint (best out of season) and I’ve sketched the buildings, boats and harbour structures many times. From there it’s easy to start placing some of these lines together and come up with a composition that communicates the basic elements of this very special place. My ‘view-point’ is often elevated or moved which inspires you to look at this in a different way.
