This work was inspired not only by my personal connection with Morocco but also all the colour variations, patterns, light and shadow; and of course the seeming mystery of the passageways in the souks. One of the topics I’m always fascinated with is buildings. There’s something about the very structure, lines, curves, textures and imperfections of these older style buildings that really capture the imagination. I chose this colour palette to enhance the warmth, shadows and chaos of the various archways leading who knows where. Get lost in your own Marrakesh dream.
